Der Verein
artscenico performing arts ist ein 1991 gegründetes Label ohne feste Spielstätte mit Sitz in Dortmund, das sich auf die Durchführung und Organisation überwiegend ortsspezifischer, interdisziplinärer Projekte mit oft internationaler Beteiligung spezialisiert. Regelmäßigen werden zudem Tanz- und Theater-Inszenierungen auf Bühnen realisiert. Künstlerischer Leiter ist Rolf Dennemann. artscenico entwickelt unterschiedliche künstlerische Ausdrucksformen und –formate – im Zusammenspiel von Natur, Kulturpflege und sozialer Partizipation.
artscenico e.V. is a non-profit organization, founded in 1991, to realize and support regional, national and international artistic projects. The work is concentrated on interdisciplinary activities creating concepts and art-works in the fields of devised stage productions, site-specific projects, workshops, public interventions. We use different art-forms, mainly performing arts, interacting with environment, nature and social participation.
We are based in Dortmund/North Rhine-Westphalia, running an office and an archive and storage-premises. We have an average annual budget of E 80.000,00, depending on public and private support or sponsorship.
Our staff consists of one steady free-lance position (artistic director, full time), administration (controlling, part time) and temporary personnel (on freelance-basis: artists, lay-outer, technician etc.)
We produce and realize between four and six projects a year (small and large-scale) in cooperation with theatre-venues and other partners. Out main partner is the Theater im Depot in Dortmund.
In 2016 we produced a stage-performance called “Die Messe” (dance-theatre) which was called one of the best theatre productions of the season, “Sport” a text-performance about sports, “Cherry blossoms”, a park-performance, “Sperrzone”, an open air coproduction with “bodytalk” about refuge and Heimat (physical theatre with refugees, dancers and actors from six countries) on waste-land, and “Abendschule”, a performance in class-rooms about “Heimat”.
The co-founder, artistic director and manager is Rolf Dennemann, director, actor and author.
Projektentwicklung
Wir planen und organisieren Kunst- und Kulturprojekte und -veranstaltungen, sowohl für Auftraggeber als auch in Eigenbestimmung. Die Technik-Supplier, Logistiker, Künstler und Agenturen, mit denen wir arbeiten, werden jeweils für das Projekt ausgesucht und zusammengestellt. Wir arbeiten unabhängig und sind keine Agentur.
Beratung
Unser Team besteht aus erfahrenen Fachleuten, die verantwortungsbewusst in den Bereichen Dramaturgie, Tanz, Regie, Kulturmanagement, Festivalorganisation und Veranstaltungsservice beraten und arbeiten „Phantasie ist alles. Sie ist die Vorschau auf die kommenden Ereignisse des Lebens.“

Satzung
Der Jahresbeitrag beträgt € 60,- und ist steuerlich absetzbar, da wir eine gemeinnützige Organisation sind.
